What we do:
PIN makes it easy for any community to invest in startups together. We automate the logistics - legal, tax, admin work (aka all the boring stuff) - so that users can focus on sourcing, investing, community events, engaging with/learning from people with shared passions, etc (aka all the fun stuff).
Our mission is to be the easiest way for any person to reliably invest in high-quality, venture-backed startups - a $300B+ asset class that has driven significant financial returns over the last decade but has historically been difficult to access for most because of accreditation rules. PIN allows anyone to seamlessly start or join investment clubs, an investment vehicle that allows anyone - regardless of accreditation - to invest in startups. We support communities from YC, Stanford, Coinbase, Harvard, MIT, Sequoia Arc, and more.
We’re a well-capitalized, seed-stage startup backed by top VCs including Initialized and NEA. We’re remote-first and seeking the best talent regardless of location, but we have a preference for NYC-based candidates for this role.
The big picture:
In this role, you’ll be leading important functions that allow us to set up and maintain investment clubs efficiently for our customers. You’ll be working closely with our customers/users on a daily basis, and also work closely with our engineering/design team to implement feedback. Some specific examples of projects that we’re working on now (that this role would include) are:
a) collaborating with our lawyers to refine details for a new product we’re launching that makes it easy for VCs to implement PIN for their portfolio companies
b) working closely with our engineering team, essentially as a PM, to build a new product that makes it easier for investing club leaders to understand when they receive fees
c) leading the sourcing and hiring process for a virtual assistant who can help maintain some of the operational processes we’ve set up
